This page describes a data file containing location information for the lines and stations depicted on the LU map used in Mornington Nomic.

Input

The station data input is of a defined format, which is described below. The starting point for this input data itself was a list of LU station names, but I added information on the line and the coordinates of the station nodes. The coordinates were gathered by the extarordinarily tedious process of turning the segmented LU map into a single image, and then gathering the pixel coordinates in a graphics program.

Conversion

Note that I removed a link to the Win32 executable, because it's no use on any system that I use these days. If anyone really wants the .EXE then they can have it, but I make no claims to its efficacy now.

Top

Output

The results of the program are an SQL file targetted for Oracle databases (Oracle 8 at the time I wrote this).

The SQL file below can be used to populate a database instance, and queries on its content can be written. I'm afraid that I have lost the queries I used to query the database, but I formatted the query output to create reports of various important bits of Mornington Nomic game information.
